In the opening session we take you onto a journey through the forest to understand carbon, climate and credits. And as a small teaser: In a world in which everybody only plants trees, our scientist will portray, why it actually makes a lot of sense to also cut down trees. Let the science speak.

A VISIT TO THE BARCELONA SUPERCOMPUTING CENTER
An interactive discovery of current quantum technology use cases and the next frontier of artificial intelligence. Be inspired to build the next technology driven business model and see a supercomputer live in the middle of a former chapel. No wonder people start to discuss god being a machine.
AFTERNOON
A VISIT TO BARCELONA HEALTH HUB
A mind-bobbling discovery at the intersection of technology, the human and our brains. Learn how blockchain is being used in optimising digital health services and how the combination with artificial intelligence drives new ways of treatments and prevention. Additionally, this discovery will focus on the mechanisms of human brains and behavioural patterns to better cope with change.

FACILITATED NETWORKING
One-on-One time and inspiration from a Microcuvée. This session is not only about great conversations and wines, this is also a session of craftsmanship, dedication to work with the environment and the quest to bend conventional boundaries to produce better, more sustainable and tastier wines.
PAELLA SHOW COOKING AND GLOWING VOLLEYBALL AT THE BEACH
A dinner full of colours and sensory experiences. Enjoy a unique Paella cooking show or grab a ladle and help prepare a Spanish all-time favourite. Not enough yet? Assemble a team, grab a glowing volleyball, step on the beach and shoot some smash balls that look like shooting stars.

MORNING
COLD PLUNGE INTO INNOVATION @ THE BEACH
Nothing better than starting the day at the beach. Engage in a mini keynote about blue sky science and the idea of developing products and services that have the potential to change the world but not necessarily have a business model right now. Be extra brave and take a swim before heading to the first workshop.
ENTREPRENEURIAL THINKING AND ORGANISATIONAL ADAPTABILITY WORKSHOP
In this workshop we are exploring two key concepts of business model innovation: How to think entrepreneurial and how to take the organisation onto an innovation journey. The aim of the workshop is to practise different thinking schools and methodologies amongst strategic capabilities to engage a variety of stakeholders.
AFTERNOON
TRANSFORMING BUSINESS MODELS WORKSHOP
In this workshop we are going to work out different strategies to challenge the current state of business models by identifying impact experiments and purposeful partnerships. This workshop will equip participants to methodologically define business model roadmaps, mitigate innovation risks and identify value propositions within network structures.
EVENING
FACILITATED NETWORKING
One-on-One time followed by a scavenger hunt with sustainability and technology quests through Barcelona ending with an Aperitivo at Barcelona Tech City Pier01 with local startups.

Alyssa Jade McDonald-Bärtl
Alyssa has overseen 8 billion in investment in eco innovation in the last 8 years. She successfully brought social and environmental friendly products to market and incubated businesses. She is a former Ironman and currently lives on a sailing boat. She likes to live at full intensity!

Robin Weninger
Robin has been an entrepreneur all his life and is globally-recognised for his work on organisational design. He mentored over 100 founders over the last 7 years to streamline their value propositions and business models. He calls Barcelona his home away from home and always knows a good spot.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
The course fee covers the whole course from the moment participants arrive till participants leave. Participants are only requested to book their individual transportation to and from the course hotel.
The following is included in the fee:
Full participation in the course including all agenda topics
Onsite transportation as required by the program (excluding airport transfer)

The maximum number of participants will be 30 people to ensure an intensive course environment, spark meaningful conversations and create an atmosphere of trust amongst the participants.
In any case, BLYSS and GILT will collaboratively curate a group of highly diverse, yet mutually value creating participants and keep the right to keep the group much smaller.
The course will be mainly taught by the course directors Alyssa Jade McDonald-Bärtl and Robin Weninger together with industry experts from the Barcelona Ecosystem.
Thanks to our experience and network within the Barcelona ecosystem we have access to a wide range of industry experts, thought leaders and technology pioneers. Alyssa and Robin will curate and work out the best faculty to achieve the learning objectives of the course, based on each and every intakes participants profile.
This course is not one size fits all but highly customised and participants will take active roles in the curriculum as well.

BLYSS and GILT are aiming at curating a diverse group of participants. Hence, the application process for this course is highly individual and the selection committee is not following an application criteria template. In case the initially provided information of a participant is not sufficient for the selection committee to make a decision, the committee will reach out to the participant for an individual conversation.
In any case, participants will receive an initial feedback two weeks after their application has been handed in at the latest.
Yes, this course is available for teams of any size. Depending on the team size and composition different applications offers can be chosen:
Small teams of three people can apply regularly to the program and benefit from a team discount.
Teams of up to ten people can apply regularly to the program. However, the selection committee will review the application in order to ensure the diversity of the program.
Teams of more than ten people will be offered an exclusive intake. This option is offered for team sizes between five people (minimum number of participants) up to 45 people (maximum number of participants) and includes a dedicated course manager and full customisation of the curriculum based on the groups requests.
Yes, this course is offered as an exclusive intake year-round and is also available in other cities than Barcelona. Please refer to our Custom Programs page in order to learn more about the process involved.
Exclusive intakes are available for team sizes between five people (minimum number of participants) up to 45 people (maximum number of participants) and include a dedicated course manager and full customisation of the curriculum based on the groups requests.
The open enrolment edition of this program is only available in Barcelona. However, other locations are available for exclusive intakes upon request. GILT has facilitated this and similar programs in places such as:

We offer bank transfer and credit card options to settle the course fee. Invoices can be issued either to the participant or to a company of choice.
As soon as the selection committee offers a place in the course, a booking fee of 50% of the total amount is due within 14 days of confirmation.
The remaining participation fee is due one month prior to the start of the course.
In case these payment options can’t be realised due to internal accounting guidelines within a participants organisation, our team will work out an individual payment schedule with the participant (only applies to payments that are settled by a company).
In case a participant needs to cancel the course, the following cancellation policy applies.
If the participation is cancelled:
- Up to 90 days prior to course start – No further payments required by the participant
- 89-60 days prior to the course start – The participant is required to pay 50% of the remaining balance
- 59-30 days prior to the course start – The participant is required to pay 75% of the remaining balance
- 29-14 days prior to the course start – The participant is required to pay 90% of the remaining balance
- 14 or less days prior to the course start – The participant is required to pay 100% of the remaining balance
The booking and confirmation fee is in any case non-refundable.
Alternatively, participants that need to cancel the course can assign their seat to another person of their team. However, BLYSS and GILT keep the right to reject the request in case of a mismatch with the curated group.
Yes, by the end of the course you will receive a digital certificate of your participation. Please note, as this course does not include any formal assessments, the certificate does not include any credit points.
