This module is designed to provide participants with an understanding of sustainable business model transformation and purposeful partnerships for creating shared value. The module consists of two units, with the first unit focusing on sustainable business model transformation, and the second unit focusing on purposeful partnerships and shared value creation.

 

Unit 1: Sustainability-Driven Success: Mastering Business Model Transformation for a Thriving and Eco-conscious Future

This unit focuses on sustainable business model transformation, with a focus on identifying and analysing key value propositions for sustainability, interdependence of different business models, and the specific requirements for sustainable business model transformations.

 

Unit 2: Unlocking Shared Value: Elevating Business and Society through Purposeful Partnerships and Impactful Strategies

This unit focuses on creating shared value and developing purposeful partnerships, including identifying potential partnerships for shared value initiatives, addressing criticisms of the creating shared value (CSV) concept, and analysing tensions and potential solutions in a given CSV case study.

Synergizing Stakeholders and Dynamic Capabilities: Strategies for Sustainable Business Success

In this module, participants will learn about the critical role of stakeholder management and dynamic capabilities in achieving sustainable business success. The module is divided into two units, each focusing on specific strategies. The first unit focuses on stakeholder synergy and sustainable business relationships, while the second unit focuses on adaptive advantage and harnessing dynamic capabilities for sustainable business success.

 

Unit 3: Stakeholder Synergy: Mastering Sustainable Business Relationships for Long-Term Success

This unit focuses on stakeholder management and the importance of identifying and managing stakeholders in sustainable business. Participants will learn about managing high-risk stakeholders, the resource-based approach to business strategy, and evaluating companies on sustainability trends and stakeholder relationships.

 

Unit4: Adaptive Advantage: Harnessing Dynamic Capabilities for Sustainable Business Success

This unit  focuses on dynamic capabilities and how they can be harnessed for sustainable business success. Participants will learn about the resource-based view of strategy, questioning assumptions and theories in sustainability management, and the role of learning in sustainable business development.

Safeguarding Sustainability: Navigating Emerging Issues and Risks for Resilient Business Success

This module focuses on the critical importance of identifying and managing risks to achieve sustainable business success. Participants will learn about emerging issues affecting sustainability and business models, as well as strategies for managing these risks and safeguarding against externalities. The module is divided into two units that cover different aspects of risk management and sustainability, including issues management, compliance management, and corporate governance.

 

Unit 5: Thriving Amidst Disruption: Mastering Issues Management for Sustainable Business Triumph

This unit focuses on issues management and how to address emerging issues that affect sustainability and business models. Participants will learn about the shifting grounds of corporate responsibility, compliance management, and strategies for transforming business culture.

 

Unit 6: Safeguarding Success: Navigating Risks and Externalities for a Resilient Sustainable Business

This unit focuses on identifying and managing risks, including the role of boards and industry standards, integration of sustainability risks into equity research, and corporate governance in sustainable risk management. Participants will also learn about risk and crisis management, as well as strategies for managing human rights, environmental, and community risks.
